We are the Baltimore chapter of the Modern Quilt Guild! The purpose of the guild is to share knowledge of modern quilting techniques, patterns, modern fabrics and quilt-making by providing meetings, social gatherings, educational workshops and field-trips to support quilting activities, encourage modern quilt-making and promote the appreciation of this craft. The Baltimore Modern Quilt Guild supports and encourages the growth and development of modern quilting through art, education and community.
Our group was founded by Heather Kojan in 2010 as a place to share skills, learn techniques, meet friends, and have fun quilting. Our doors are open to members of all skill levels.
The BMQG is a non-profit 501(3)C. We are a group of quilters who get together to share and learn more about our craft, socialize with other quilters and contribute charitably to the community. With our quilts and other sewn items, we contribute charitably to South East Baltimore Early Headstart (SEEHS) and Comfort Cases.
